Encourage Eco-Living in Your Community
Most communities have several individual groups, each responsible for one specific area or topic, which they are trying to make more “Eco friendly”. These individual, grassroots organizations need our support, as they do make a difference, in their own specific area. Communities that truly standout in their achievements, tend to have two things in common:
- A Single Coordinating Centre Of Excellence
- Local Government/Business Financial Support
The individual groups maintain the “feet on the street” and run the specific activities that result in individual successes. It is only through a single coordinating body that the big picture achievements get relayed to the public and true momentum is achieved. By orchestrating the efforts of similar teams, greater strides are made. Through time, Eco living activities become common sense and common place. 
As an individual, we control our 3 R’s – Reduce, Reuse & Recycle. We can also approach big business, as a group, to make “one of” changes, such as asking a business that uses the color blue as a corporate image, to provide free of charge, BLUE BOXES for the community – GREEN (compost) BOXES for a corporation that uses green.
If you have a central. coordinating team, support them as well as your personal choices. If you don’t have a central coordinating team, maybe it’s time to step up to a new role….
