There are lots of eco-friendly Father’s Day give suggestions available on the internet – a new bike (great gas mileage), recycled everything, etc.
Some of these suggestions have merit if you dad “needs” that item. My dad tends to go out and buy whatever he really needs. So what do you get a dad who already has everything he needs?
How about a “fishing kit” for another dad who really needs one so he can feed his family. Or farming tools that will allow a dad to plant and harvest his own crops/food. Or vegetable garden seeds. There are several organizations that would be happy to see a donation made in your father’s name. You pick the group that means the most to you. If you can’t find one, CCFC is somewhere you could start. They have a catalogue of opportunities…
Why not make this Father’s Day special for two families…
