Hydrogen Car - Honda FXC Clarity - in Production

Honda announced this week that their upgraded hydrogen powered FXC, the FXC Clarity, will go into Honda FXC Clarityproduction. They will lease this model - no sales, to about 200 people over the next 3 years.

While the waste product from driving a hydrogen car is water, the complete life-cycle is not near so clean! Today, mass production of hydrogen gas requires large amounts of electricity. If that electricity is produced from the many coal fired generators around the country, your hydrogen car may be part of the problem, not the solution. Hydrogen also requires transportation and storage. Maybe we should concentrate on pure electric vehicles, which could be charged with home solar/wind systems.
