OPA Announces Feed-in Tariff Start of October 1
September 24th – the Ontario Power Authority OPA today announce an October 1st start date to accept applications for a Feed-in Tariff (FiT) contract.
With FiT rates as high as 80.2 cents per kwh, demand is expected to be very high for the contracts. A new website will come online as of September 30th and new applications can be submited the next day, October 1st.
MicroFiT contacts, systems 10kW or less in size, will have a fast track path to follow. The OPA expects the first signed contracts to be issued in early December.
