USA Admits Polar Bears Threatened - Does Little

The USA Government is listing Polar Bears as a threatened species but won’t address the issue of global warming that’s causing the decline in their habitats.

USA Interior Secretary Dick Kempthorne stated that  global warming is the major factor threatening the polar bears. However, the Endangered Species Act will not be used to reduce the USA’s production of greenhouse gases. Rather, than addressing the cause of the issue, the protection plan for bears will likely restrict hunting, which is not a factor in future polar bear reductions.

Looks like the USA Fish and Wildlife Service, can’t see the forest for the trees…
