Value Compost Day a Huge Success - Black Gold
Our city held it’s annual ”value compost day” today. The compost was gone within 3 hours, even though it was advertised as an 8am-2pm event.
The leaves and grass that the city collects throughout the year gets composted and is available for purchase. On value compost day, the price is reduced and people are encouraged to bring their own containers and a shovel for a real bargain price.
Obviously a more natural form of lawn and garden care, is in everyone’s mind these days. Doesn’t hurt that the local city passed a bylaw that will outlaw pesticides starting in September.
