What are the 7 types of recyclable plastic?
Most plastics can be recycled today. During the manufacturing process, a number from 1 to 7, will be stamped on the bottom on each plastic article, inside a triangular recycle symbol.
Your municipality will identify the numbers for the plastic items that they will accept inside your recycle program. If they don’t accept all 7 categories, you need to ask why.
1 - PETE, 2-PHDE, 3-PVC, 4-LDPE, 5-PP, 6-PS, 7-All Others.
